My story on Connor "The Crusher"
October 9, 2013. That was the day I was introduced and learned about a boy named Connor Michalek. His aunt, Gwen reached out to this page and wanted me to read up on a story concerning her nephew and Daniel Bryan. Since then we kept in contact. Every chance I got, I checked up on Connor and his family through messages. I followed what was left of his journey on earth. Little did I know, he would pass away the following year later. April 25, 2014. Believe it or not, he was a fan of this page. His family would let him see post about him. He really loved it and appreciated the amount of support he received from fans. ‪WWE‬ put together some nice things for him before WrestleMania. He appeared at an empty arena for ‪#‎RAW‬. Met several WWE stars including Brock Lesnar, Undertaker, Daniel Bryan, Triple H, Stephanie and others.
Around April 2014, Daniel Bryan had a tough week, he lost both his father and Connor "the Crusher" (a wrestling name Connor came up with). It was tough to announce that on here. I could only imagine what went on in Daniel's head when he found out. I enjoyed hearing updates about what Connor did during his time in WWE and life. The best moment of his life had to be at WrestleMania XXX. Not too long ago afterwards, another fan wanted Connor to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. There was a photo he created we shared around for several months. We only hoped got WWE's attention. Now he's in the Hall of Fame under the "Warrior Award". His legacy will live on through those who continue speak out.
Connor's Cure was created in honor of Connor. This organization is meant to provide funds for pediatric brain and spinal cancer research, and medical care for children and their families.
